Introducing our Executive Chef Harjeet Mehdwan
Harjeet, a Hotel Management graduate, started his career with Hotel Le Meridien in New Delhi, which was then a part of the Forte Hotels. After acquiring his basic skills, he moved to the US, working for the Carnival Cruise Lines where he was a part of the inaugural and set up team for 7 of the Cruise Lines brand new vessels. Harjeet has trained under some of the best Chefs in the industry including French Chef, Georges Blanc, a culinary master.
After moving to Edmonton in 2007, Harjeet started at the Rose & Crown Pub as a head chef, moving on as the chef for one of the famous restaurant in the city, Packrat Louie. His love and his spirit of travelling once again took him to the high seas and he went back to work for the Cruise industry before returning to the city to work for The Westin Edmonton hotel as Chef de Cuisine.
He also worked as a Consultant Chef for a while before joining the Ramada Edmonton Hotel & Conference Centre as Executive Sous Chef moving on to become the Executive Chef of the same Hotel. Harjeet is a Certified Chef de Cuisine from the Canadian Culinary Federation and is also a Chef Member of the same organization
